Introduction to Outdoor Rock Climbing

This class will teach you the basics of outdoor rock climbing. We will start by climbing historic 60 foot grain silos in Hico, Texas, which are fitted with handholds like you would see in a rock climbing gym. We will warm up with top roping and then teach lead climbing. Then we will move to the Nolan River, where we will climb the cliffs of a picturesque river valley. There we will learn and apply lead climbing, roping off from a tree, and a bit of bouldering. While targeted toward beginners, we can accommodate higher skill levels. 8:00 - 10:00: Drive to the silos in Hico, Texas

10:00 - 1:00: Climb the silos

1:00 - 2:00: Drive to Nolan River

2:00 - 6:00: Climb Nolan River (Nolan River is only 1 hour from DFW)
